The SGLA is an innovative alliance comprised of Lovells and thirteen leading regional law firms in China. Both the SGLA and its member firms have won numerous industry awards (click here for related reports.)
Each SGLA member is a clear market leader in its own jurisdiction and was selected following a ground-breaking market survey and due diligence process undertaken by Lovells to identify the best Chinese law firms across all key regions of China. Each firm was evaluated based on market reputation, size, practice area knowledge, technical and management quality and commitment to training. (For more information on the establishment of the SGLA and the selection process and criteria for the local member firms, please click on the "About SGLA" button above.)
Across the network, SGLA lawyers work as part of an integrated team comprising five cross-firm practice groups: Corporate and Commercial, Dispute Resolution, Intellectual Property, Real Estate and Construction and Financial Services. For more information on any of the SGLA cross-firm practice groups, please click on the Practice Groups button in the tool bar at the top of the page.
Because member firms in the SGLA are independent law firms and the alliance cooperation is non-exclusive, the process of delivery of legal services by the SGLA member firms is entirely client-driven. Clients can work directly with Lovells, with one of the local member firms in the alliance or with any combination thereof.
The strength of the SGLA lies in the combined strength of the individual member firms. For more information on any of the SGLA member firms, please click on the appropriate firm's name on the side bar to the left.
